Dr. Mascola enjoys collaborative consultation, teaching and conducting research in health promotion and Behavioral Medicine. He served previously as Director of Evidence Based Practices and Ongoing Education in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University. He has expertise in multiple Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and other evidence based psychosocial interventions in addition to his expertise in pharmacology and other scientifically supported methods of health promotion. He has applied these skills in teaching, research and consultative efforts in promoting healthy physical activity, healthful sleep patterns, improving study skills and academic performance, improving decision making and emotion regulation, reducing burnout, reducing depression and anxiety, improving social connectedness and fellowship, promoting faith and spiritual life, and in improving resilience and strength in living in a manner that resonates deeply with one’s most cherished values.
